TThe B.Sc. in Information Technology at RTU Bengaluru is a 3-year undergraduate program along with a Hons. which is of 4-year program that provides students with a comprehensive foundation in IT concepts, computational techniques, and modern digital technologies. The curriculum is designed to build strong competencies in programming, data management, networking, operating systems, cloud platforms, cybersecurity fundamentals, and software development.
To enhance interdisciplinary learning and broaden career pathways, the curriculum also allows students to pursue Multi-Disciplinary Courses (MDC), Major Enhancement (ME) courses and Minor Enhancement (MNE) courses that are offered University wide. Students may opt for minors such as Business Analytics, Finance, General Management, or Statistics, enabling them to integrate IT expertise with domain-specific knowledge relevant to industry and research.
Apart from Data Science, The B.Sc. IT program prepares graduates to excel in diverse roles across the IT industry, including software development, system administration, network management, data analytics, cloud support, and IT services.
